All is Katy and Bright

You may have seen that H&M finally released who the face of their holiday collection would be. They picked none other than mega pop star, Superbowl performing, highest earning lady in music, Katy Perry.

The photos feature the pop star in cheeky sweaters, lady-like full skirts, and a slick bun. Frankly, they are adorable. The styling is spot on and I’m excited to see the rest of the collection. My personal favorite is the look below. That feather skirt is just the thing for a holiday party!

Katy was a great choice for the face of the holiday line. She’s always worn larger than life costumes on stage, exuding personality and a child-like joy for the simple things in life. Remember her candy-filled wonderland on the California Dreams tour?

She already basically auditioned for the gig with her toy soldier costume a few years back.

Seriously couldn’t be cuter. Great choice H&M!

Flashback in DC

Sometimes the best things, well usually the best things, are those that involve good friends. Earlier in the year, my good friend Lauren came to visit me in my native land. As the weather gets colder, I thought it’d be nice to reminisce on some warmer times and share some of the beauty that is D.C. with you all. Our journey starts in Georgetown, moves on to U. St. then ends with a gallery and Chinatown.

Rings on Rings on Rings

Tunnel vision. I have it for objects I’m loving at the time. For a while I was really obsessed with tights and bought them in every color, pattern, and material imaginable, then I moved onto earrings doing the same thing. Currently I’m loving simple stackable rings. The midi trend of the early summer is so cool and I will be wearing it even after the trends over. Are jewelry trends ever really over anyways?

IMG_1684One thing that I love about these little rings is that they are so cheap! Even full price a pack of 10 is ~ $5. But you know I never buy things full price, so I found several different packs at H&M on sale for $1-$3. Within a week I had gotten my money’s worth from them. They go with everything!

IMG_1683One way to get maximum use out of your midi rings is to wear them as normal rings on your pinky, like I did above.

Where have you found your coolest midi and stackable rings? Let me know in the comments so I can check it out!
