Flashback in DC

Sometimes the best things, well usually the best things, are those that involve good friends. Earlier in the year, my good friend Lauren came to visit me in my native land. As the weather gets colder, I thought it’d be nice to reminisce on some warmer times and share some of the beauty that is D.C. with you all. Our journey starts in Georgetown, moves on to U. St. then ends with a gallery and Chinatown.

Back to New Orleans

I truly believe that best way to see a heart of a place is to observe the music, art, and aesthetics of your surroundings. I have had the good fortune to go to New Orleans twice as part of my academic and service life. Beauty surrounds you in the French Quarter, while life bursts out of the streets on Bourbon and beyond. I told you a while ago that I would share some photos from my journey but hadn’t had the opportunity until now. So here we go!

Bed, Bath, and Kate

Bed Bath and Beyond is a marvelous place. I noticed they had some great coupons the other day, so my roommate and I traversed to our local store to see if we could score any deals. While there, I found out that Kate Spade has several lifestyle products with them, including bedding! I fell in love with these adorable, paint splashed pillows. katekate 1

There were also simpler designs that were equally chic. I could definitely see them in my future bedroom.

Unfortunately I did not take any of this adorableness home with me because at $89.99, I will only be seeing these pillows in my dreams. If you want a more affordable Kate product, check out my tips on shopping outlets or sign up for emails to get in on exclusive surprise sales.
