What’s in a Name?
Now Shakespeare might not have thought much of names, but I put a lot of thought into mine so let’s break it down.
So why a siren? Well, Sirens were the girls in Greek Mythology who were irresistible. People couldn’t turn away from them. And those are the kind of people I want to feature in this blog: the Street Sirens. You inspire the doubletakes, the copycats, and the compliments. You have the elusive IT: confidence, charisma, and above all, candid self-expression through your clothes. Like the great Coco said, “Look for the woman in the dress; if there is no woman, there is no dress.” Being a Street Siren is all about the attitude.
But that’s not all a siren is. Sirens let people know that something is coming, rushing through the streets flashing lights and piercing sounds. That’s my part in this; I tell the world to watch out, something fantastic is on the way. Show me what you got ladies and gents; it’s time to sound the alarms!

    1. I miss you as well, Lauren :) I just checked out your blog a bit at work and it is fab! Can’t wait to read more.
Thanks, though. I’m still easing into it, but I just missed writing and being able to feel like I was up-to-date on the fashion world so much! It was time to return!

      1. Thanks! I’ve been working on it!
I feel the same way. I like writing freelance but I like being able to just write whatever I want when I want on my blog.
I’m sure it’ll come back easily to you, you’re a great writer!

  1. I was going to say exactly what Style Universe said, I love the explanation of your name and how fitting. I’m not that hugely into fashion per se but it makes me want to take a peek!
