Nude Beauties

One of my favorite places to shop when I visit home is Kohl’s. I’ve scored so many good deals there using their every day discounts and Kohl’s cash. The shoe department is a must stop section every time I go. They are always heavily discounted and super cute! For instance, I scored these beautiful nude sandals for less than $12. whaaaattttt.

IMG_1682No seriously, here’s my proof.

IMG_1693Not only does the price make these beauties a good deal, the shoe itself has many positive attributes. It is versatile and can be dressed up or down. A bonus for all my fairer skinned fellow shorties – the coloring of the straps will blend to give the illusion of longer legs!

Summer Steals III

This week for my Summer Steals Series (check out 1 & 2) I thought I would focus on a more casual, every day outfit for summer. Black and white with pops of COLOR is the way to do it!  This whole outfit adds up to $32.25 and the pieces were found at retail sales, thrift shops, and yard sales.

Flowy shorts are a must have for the hot season. They are comfortable, cute, and offer a twist on the ever-so-common jean shorts.

Jennifer Lopez for Kohl’s shorts – $2

Not only is there a fierce tiger on the front that you can show year round by wearing blazers and cardigans with this tank, but there is also this sweet design on the back giving a great summer surprise.

Guess shirt – $20

Brighten up the look with a bold necklace. I was lucky enough to grab this baby for 75% off at a sale last month.

Francesca’s necklace – $5.25

Putting a coordinating, yet different pop of color at the feet takes the look from basic to brilliant, while a leather cross-body keeps it grounded.

Cross-body bag – also seen here // Charlotte Russe flats – $2

Fun fact about the shirt….used to be a tunic but the dryer did me dirty and now I just have a long tank. I guess you just have to make lemonade sometimes right?

Pops of Pineapple

The other day I went to Aeropostale, which is not a store I frequent regularly, but they were having a sale of 60% off of their clearance.  At the sale I got a pair of adorable black booties for $10 and a really cute summer top for a steal. The shirt was just calling my name so I thought I’d use the inspiration from its fun graphic to show you an outfit for Thrifty Thursday.

I love piling on stretchy bracelets for an easy summer look. You can usually find packs of them at yard sales for $.25-$.50 so why not stock up! Do you have any go-to summer accessories? Let me know in the comments.
